About Lise and the band:

Vocalist and songwriter Lise Hvoslef holds a degree in Music Education from the Norwegian Academy of Music. She works as a musician and as a vocal teacher, specializing in jazz and rhythmic song.

The members of the band hail from different genres within the Oslo music scene; jazz, pop and folk.

Piainist and arranger Lars Andreas Aspesæter has worked with artists like Kurt Nilsen and Christel Alsos, and on different TV-shows like the Idol Norway, The Voice and Norway’s Got Talent.

Ellen Brekken plays bass in Hedvig Mollestad Trio, a trio that was nominated for a Spellemanspris in 2013. She also plays with Ine Hoem, Caledonia Jazzband, Erik Lukashaugen and Aasmund Norstoga. Ellen has worked extensively with Concerts Norway (Rikskonsertene), Oslo New Theater (Oslo Nye Teater), The National Theater of Norway and Trøndelag Theater.

Aleksander Sjølie is an Oslobased guitarist, producer and studio technician. In addition to playing with Lise Hvoslef, he plays with the jazz band Mopti, Ine Hoem and Anja Eline Skybakmoen.

Tore Flatjord plays drums and percussion. Among his many band projects are Baker Hansen, Samkjørt, Mongrel, Dr. Kay & His Interstellar Tone Scientists, and Moksha.
